Overview

Creating a media plan assessment involves research and analysis of a wide variety of sources.  Once the information is compiled, the written document is often presented to the client for their review. The opportunity to present the findings from the paper allows the media assessor to be sure the client understands the findings, how the media plan is working and how it can be improved. In other words, collecting the data is important and necessary, but being able to present the data in a meaningful and professional way is equally important. That’s where the media plan presentation comes into play.

Instructions

Client-based Presentation: The student will prepare a PowerPoint presentation The presentation is based on the content of the Media Plan Assessment document. Significant points of the assessment should be included. New material not included in the Media Plan Assessment document should NOT be added to the presentation.

The presentation should be created and delivered as though the student is in the presence of the client. This means the client style presentation will be visually and verbally presented with the client as the audience.

SLIDES: A client style presentation means that appropriate visuals to interest and inform the client with a voice recording for each slide will be necessary.

The choice of visuals and images in the presentation should underscore the student’s understanding of the client’s business/product/brand/ministry.

Every detail from the media plan assessment need not be included in the slide content,.

References included in the Media Plan Assessment document are NOT required in PowerPoint

The student may choose the presentation method Power Point,The presentation will be created as one of the following:

  • a PowerPoint with 10 slides The presentation will be graded on
  • Appropriate inclusion of content, creativity and quality of visuals and audio.
  • Creativity in the choice of PowerPoint Accurate spelling, grammar or proofreading the slide content.
  • First person delivery to the client.
