Fall prevention in Hospitals findings/results presentation and publication
Dissemination of research findings is essential to the implementation and development of new evidence-based clinical practices. Kitson (2018) argue that “Evidence-based disease prevention practice guidelines can provide a rationale for health programming decisions, which should, in turn, led to improved public health outcomes” (Tappen, 2016). A wide range of factors is attributed with falls incidences, including over-reliance on routine living activities, balance and gait, cognition, impaired mobility, and having a record of falling (Tappen, 2016). Based on the research, it is evident that the bed’s alarms are meant to aid nurses in monitoring their patients, to be precise, those at risk of falling (Kitson, 2018). Even though the use of these alarms does not necessarily mean that falls will not occur, I would suggest that healthcare facilities use them in combination with fall-prevention programs to yield significant results. Ideally, falls and their related injuries cannot be eliminated entirely, but bed alarms can help reduce them. To present my findings with defence, I will select items found on the library catalogue in order to be familiar with how to recognize the different types of material found in one retrieval tool.
One of the most rewarding aspects of conducting research is publishing the findings. Sharing your results is also part of the process of building academic knowledge and enhancing a professional field of study. While publishing my research results, I will learn and follow simple steps such as understanding how journal articles are formatted and the acceptable requirements for publishing a journal article. Since I do not have the experience, I will consider publishing with a colleague or subject matter expert who has experience publishing. This will help me obtain the experience and confidence needed for future publications (Kitson, 2018).

The target audience for the research that I am conducting on ischemic stroke includes clinicians who work directly with patients and their families, stroke patients and their families, and the stroke survivors. The approaches that I will utilize to disseminate the research findings to these groups of people include, publishing the study findings in national journals and statewide publications, presenting the results to the affected groups in the local communities (Brownson, Colditz, & Proctor, 2017). Other means include sharing the information via social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, and creating material like pamphlets, guides and DVDs, and share the information through them.
Before preparing the research findings, there are various things that I will have to check, to ensure that the research is well presented, and that I can defend it confidently. First, I will thoroughly revise the findings and results; to become more familiar with all the details, after that, I will prepare several responses to the potential questions that the audience will most likely ask during the defense (Cardano, 2020). Being able to answer the questions exhaustibly and accordingly will ensure that the audiences trust the information that I will be presenting to them.
When publishing the research findings, there are various elements that I will work on to ensure that they reflect in the project, to meet all the publication standards and rationale. First, the research needs to be clear, complete, accurate, and balanced. Besides, the research should not contain any information or details that may mislead the audience in any way, and the reporting should not be ambiguous or selective (Suiter & Sarli, 2019).
